Summer Day Camp Registration is open for Residents and begins for Non-Residents on Thursday, May 3rd. Playground Program Registration begins Wed., April 18th. Registration for all other Summer 2018 programs begins Thursday, May 3rd for Residents and Tues., May 8th for Non-Residents.

Register early and often so your programs do not get cancelled! Programs that have not met their minimum may be cancelled one week prior to the program start date.

    This introductory movement class for your child is full of age appropriate activities which promote cruising, crawling and eventually that ever elusive first step!     3209 - Rainbow Ribbons

    Rainbow Ribbons: Aesthetic Group Gymnastics (Ages 4-10)
    Aesthetic Group Gymnastics is relatively new to the U.S. and brought to us by a rhythmic gymnast who has competed all around the world. The Rainbow Ribbons program is non-competitive, allowing children to explore the combined graceful art of music, dance, and gymnastics in a supervised, fun setting. The children will learn how to work and trust each other as a team in a pleasant, upbeat setting while they learn artistic routines. Equipment includes scarves, ball, hoops, and ropes. Children will learn the basics of core strength, flexibility, balance, coordination and rhythm. They will also learn body waves, swings, ballet, gymnastic jumps and leaps, and dance steps.

    3220 - Little Lions Soccer

    Little Lions Summer Soccer (Ages 2-9)
    Summer soccer will now be lead by the professional full-time coaches from Global Premier Soccer / Rochester Futbol Club and the enrichment specialists of Happy Feet. All curriculums facilitate the development of motor and coordination skills. All sessions are held in a fun and positive environment, where players are encouraged to play with a smile on their face to build Brave, Creative Leaders.
    Ages 2-3: 2 & 3 year olds will enjoy nursery rhymes, songs and stories with “Bob the Bobcat” soccer ball. All activities will be taught through an age specific curriculum.
    Ages 4-6: 4-6 year olds will have a blast taking “Bob” the soccer ball on fun adventures through age appropriate games and activities.
    Ages 7-9: Little Lions 7-9 year olds will learn the fundamentals of soccer using fun and energetic games and competitions. This class is an hour long.

    3225 - Teeny Tiny Dance

    Teeny Tiny Boppers (Ages 18 months- 4 years)
    A dance class that incorporates basic beginner hip hop moves with overall coordination skills and works on helping students follow directions. Dancers will develop a brief routine to perform at the end of the four week session with the help of a teacher. Dancers should dress comfortably, in something non-distracting, with hair pulled back, and will dance either barefoot or in shoes that have not been worn outside.

    3226 - Hip Hop/Tap&Technique

    Tiny Intro Tap and Technique (Ages 3-4)
    This class is for the little ones who haven’t tried tap yet, but who may be interested. Maybe they’ve seen a tap routine on television, or maybe they like the sound of the shoes. This class will help them with musicality, basic dance skill, and beginner tap sounds, movements and steps. Dancers will develop a brief routine to perform at the end of the four week session with the help of a teacher. Dancers should dress comfortably and tap shoes are recommended. A limited number of extra tap shoes are available at the studio for those students who don’t have them.

    Does your child have all the skills needed to be a safe rider? Summertime means bicycle season for most children and bicycles are a source of enjoyment and entertainment. Bikes also provide mobility, a way to visit neighborhood friends and get exercise. Riding a bike comes with responsibilities and that is why learning basic principles of bike safety is important to ensure their safety as well as the safety of others. This class will incorporate several activities about safety as sell as different obstacles for your child to practice on their bike. All children must have a bike and helmet to participate.

    3505 - Beginner Clogging

    Beginner Clogging (Ages 7- 10)
    This percussive dance form originated in the Appalachian Mountains in the time of early American settlers. It has since gained popularity across the United States and around the globe, due in part to its features on shows like America's Got Talent and So You Think You Can Dance, and because it is so much fun. Clogging combines elements of tap, Irish, Canadian step dancing, and hip hop. Dancers in this class will learn the beginner steps and moves and a national dance list routine to perform at the end of the session. Dancers should come wearing comfortable clothing; hair pulled back, and will dance in either tap shoes or in shoes that have not been worn outside.

    Empire Tennis Academy: Entry Level (Ages 4-8)

    With convenient times and locations, Empire Tennis has several options for junior players. Headquartered out of the Harley School, Empire Tennis Academy strives to help you improve your game, gain confidence, stay fit, and foster long lasting friendships and bonds with other fellow players.

    Jason Speirs, Director of Empire Tennis Academy, will coordinate the program and his staff will be teaching it. This tennis program is for Entry Level players only – those who have either never played before or have very minimal experience. As a side note, those who are on JV or Varsity teams are likely not at the entry level; however, if they are interested in taking lessons, they can check out our regular program times on our website (www.empiretennisacademy.com).

    Groups are separated by age and the goal of the program will be to teach basic strokes and use drills and games that will show tennis can be a lot of fun to play. Come join us and have fun while you learn the sport of tennis!

    This new class will introduce your child to the BASICS of Track & Field and Lacrosse in a fun way.     Looking for an activity to capture your child’s imagination and get them away from the electronics? Modern fencing is a competitive sport of finesse, skill, strategy and endurance. Come experience the thrill and discipline of sword play with instructors from Rochester Fencing Club owned by Olympians Felicia and Iris Zimmermann. Build self-confidence with targeted exercises and fun games as you master footwork and blade work. Suit up in regulation fencing gear for bouting-all in a spirit of respect and good sportsmanship.
