Summer Day Camp Registration is open for Residents and begins for Non-Residents on Thursday, May 3rd. Playground Program Registration begins Wed., April 18th. Registration for all other Summer 2018 programs begins Thursday, May 3rd for Residents and Tues., May 8th for Non-Residents.

Register early and often so your programs do not get cancelled! Programs that have not met their minimum may be cancelled one week prior to the program start date.

    NEW! Pee Wee Soccer Camp (Ages 3-7)
    Whether you’ve played soccer before or are new to the sport this camps main objective is to have fun but at the same time to learn and develop basic ball skills, technique, and key principles of the game.     3735 - Roch. Kings Football Clinic

    NEW! Rochester Kings Football Clinic (Ages 4-12)
    Join the American Arena Football League franchise, the Rochester Kings as they host a week-long camp. This camp will be coached by team owner Felix Joyner (former NFL player) and will be assisted by both players and coaches of the Rochester Kings football team! This is a non-tackle camp where participants will learn the basics of football. At the end of each day players will have the opportunity to showcase what they’ve learned in a flag football game. Each participant will also get a Rochester Kings t-shirt and the end of the camp. Camp will be age and skill appropriate.
    Ages 4-6: This camp is designed to teach the basics of football to children beginning their football career. In this class, they will be taught how to throw catch, route running, and other skills needed to give them the foundation to grow their young careers.
    Ages 7-9: This camp is for more experienced players where they will be taught more advanced skills such as defensive coverage, route running, how to get off the line of scrimmage, and other skills needed to help enhance their skill level.
    Ages 10-12: This camp will focus on individual positions and help improve the players’ skills at their specific position. Instruction on several positions will be taught, such as Quarterback, Running Back, Wide Receiver, Corners and Linebackers. Feel free to mix and match a different position each class or stay in one position throughout the camp.

    Looking for an activity to capture your child’s imagination and get them away from the electronics? Modern fencing is a competitive sport of finesse, skill, strategy and endurance. Come experience the thrill and discipline of sword play with instructors from Rochester Fencing Club owned by Olympians Felicia and Iris Zimmermann. Build self-confidence with targeted exercises and fun games as you master footwork and blade work. Suit up in regulation fencing gear for bouting-all in a spirit of respect and good sportsmanship. Suitable for beginners and those with previous instruction. Fun for girls and boys. Students will be grouped by age and level of experience.     3886 - Woodcraft Day Camp

    WOODCRAFT DAY CAMP (Entering grades 6-8)
    LET NATURE BE YOUR TEACHER! A well-known Irondequoit tradition! Join us to experience this unique hometown camp, there’s nothing like it! There are new sessions and field trips this year! Each session will include outdoor skills, hiking, swimming, sports, games, crafts, and learning to cook over a campfire, along with various other campsite activities.
    Sessions 1, 2, and 4 conclude with an organized overnight campout (weather permitting) where campers will sleep in rope beds they’ve made themselves, cook over a camp fire and participate in a traditional “ghost” walk! Transportation provided, refer to day camp bus schedule. Medical and immunization records required at time of registration.

    NOTE: On the morning after the overnight, dismissal is at 7:30 am with no bus return. If the overnight is cancelled before 11:00 pm, camp will run normal hours the next day. Children registered for Extended Camp will be transported to Camp Eastman, by bus, at the end of the regular camp day and need to be picked up by 5:45 pm.

    Clothesline (Sessions 1,2, and 4 only): Each camper in sessions 1,2, and 4 will need 200 feet of cotton clothesline. This can be purchased at Black’s Hardware at 610 East Ridge Road.

    Location: All sessions at Woodcraft Lodge, ½ mile hike behind Public Safety Building, 1300 Titus Ave. Drop off and Pick-up at the Pioneer House behind the Gazebo at the Town Hall. Please use the back parking lot of the Town Hall for pickup and drop off.

    Please make sure to also complete the medical registration # 3895-C prior to registering.

    3887 - KinderCamp

    KINDERCAMP (*Ages 4-5)
    Laughing, smiling, and having fun with friends is what it’s all about at KinderCamp. Learning and development are enhanced by our daily activities. This camp is a great opportunity for the young day camper to meet friends and explore all a day camp has to offer, at their own pace and with their own themes! Campers will need a bathing suit, towel, a snack and water bottle each day. Please label all belongings. Medical and immunization records are required at time of registration.
    *PLEASE NOTE: Children must be 4 years of age by September 1, 2018 to participate and be able to independently use the bathroom.

    3892 - Junior Police Academy Camp

    NEW! Junior Police Camp (Age 12-16)
    Campers will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities and tours to familiarize them with aspects of modern day law enforcement. Some of the topics discussed will include: traffic stops, internet safety, firearms safety, evidence collection, DWI recognition, along with tours of IPD, the Emergency Dispatch Center and the Public Safety Training Facility. Participants will receive a Jr. Police Camp t-shirt. Campers will need to bring a snack, non-Perishable lunch, and water daily. Lunch will be provided on Friday only. Immunization records required at time of registration. Please make sure you have also completed required Medical Registration #3895-F prior to registering for camp session.

    Registrants ages 12 and 13 years old may be registered for Extended Care through the Summer Day Camp Program at an additional cost of $50/week. Extended Care runs until 5:45pm and is supervised by the Day Camp Staff. If registering for Extended Care – also register for #3892-B.

Scheduled activities at each site include a variety of sports, games, crafts and swimming. Playground participation does not require the child to be in attendance each day.
