    Are you looking to get out, go for a walk and enjoy some fresh air, but don’t want to do it alone? Now you don’t have to! We walk together on Thursday mornings from 10am to approximately 11am. We will walk a different path and love to hear your ideas. We will enjoy a social at the end of our session, so you can continue your walking journey with the new friends you have made!

    5423 - Living Healthy

    Living Healthy (Ages 55+)
    This class led by Lifespan of Greater Rochester instructor, Sarah Otis, is a self-management program for healthy living. It is designed to provide education and information, as well as to empower participants to become more involved with their treatment plans. They will learn to do this through:
    • problem-solving and making action plans
    • focusing on healthy eating with menu planning, reading and understanding nutrition labels
    • exercising
    • dealing with stress and depression
    • communication skills

    The goal of this 6-week class is to address the chronic condition they are facing, but remain the well-rounded person they want to be. The class offers a socially supportive group where you can share concerns, feelings of anger, frustration, fear, etc. with others who can empathize.
